An introduction to the day
Nature & Me provides the option of private workshops delivery. It is a great occasion to strengthen that web of connection within your community and bring a sense of shared response-ability, whatever our genders, to meet the children on their journey to adulthood.
Having several adults in the community initiated to menstrual cycle awareness acts as a strong buffer to external messaging that could be damaging to a child’s self esteem as they enter their menstruating years.
It is in this way that we are changing the damaging narratives in our culture to supportive and enriching ones. Together, we are culture makers.
LET'S GATHER TOGETHER TO RECONNECT, HONOUR AND CELEBRATE OUR GROWING CHILDREN.
What we cover during the day
To bring everyone on the same page, especially within the families, we hold Celebration Day for Girls and Fathers Celebrating Daughters on the same weekend - one on each day.
Each workshop lasts a day. It is a weekend dedicated to Menarche preparation for the children, mothers, fathers (and grandparents if they would like to be involved).
A weekend of learning and witnessing with peers.
We need a minimum of five families interested in this process.

Why Nature & Me?
When I started menstruating came with it body shame in a new dimension. I wasn’t ready for the verbal abuse, the diminishing & shaming of my experiences of living with a menstrual cycle. Luckily, I was able to start my healing in my 30’s when I discovered menstrual cycle awareness. I do not want this for the girls of this generation. I want to prepare girls from the get-go, supporting their experience of Menarche (first period) with the knowledge & the honouring that they deserve.
This is my life’s work: offering mentoring, knowledge and compassion to the younger generations and their parents, as well as professionals working with young people… because Menstrual Cycle Awareness is for all.
